Cremlinplus

The project coordinator, DESY, as representative of the CREMLINplus project, strongly condemns the Russian war against Ukraine. The war is a violation of international law and a clear attack on humanity. It has devastating consequences for Ukrainian citizens and undermines European and global security and stability. The current atrocities in Ukraine leave no ground for scientific cooperation with Russian institutions. As a consequence of the war and in line with the EU’s restrictive measures on Russia, the collaboration with Russian institutions in CREMLINplus has been terminated. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine, and also with our personal Russian project collaborators who are opposing this war and who are themselves horrified at Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

CREMLINplus (Connecting Russian and European Measures for Large-scale Research Infrastructures – plus) was an EU project fostering European-Russian scientific and technical collaboration in the field of research infrastructures. Advancing specific infrastructure projects in close European-Russian collaboration, exploring access mechanisms to Russian research infrastructures for international utilisation as well as knowledge exchange were at the core of CREMLINplus.
